China to ban medical treatment ads

(Mar. 8) Gao Qiang, Vice-minister of Health, revealed recently that the
Ministry of Health (MOH) was drafting a plan for the State Council to ban
advertisements for medical treatments. In the future, no health
departments will bear responsibility for authenticating such
advertisements. The photo shows a medical services advertisement on the
street.
