Lightning kills 40 in NW Pakistan

More than 40 people including children and women were killed Friday by
lightning in a village in northwestern Pakistan, the state-run PTV
reported.
PTV said that the lightning, which struck the Ashere Darra village of
Upper Dir in North West Frontier Province, destroyed more than 20 houses.
Sixteen bodies of the victims have so far been recovered from the debris
of collapsed houses, while the injured have been rushed to a local
hospital.
The local administration in collaboration with local people has
immediately started the rescue work.
